Swedish mahogany bureau, ca. 1800, with a gray marble top and canted corners overhanging a 3 drawer base with fluted corners and brass mounts, 33 1/4" h., 45" w. The mate to this bureau is in the collection of House of Noble, Stockholm and was formerly in the collection of Count Valdimar Cronstedt.
Estimate should read $5000-6000. Bends to brass cuffs w/breaks. Brass fluting to one leg with bends. Missing a few small pieces of molding. Crack in marble. Surface gouge in marble. Minor age cracks in ends. Locks removed from drawers. Original brasses.
