Springfield US model 1808 flintlock musket, .69 caliber, the lock inscribed US Springfield 1811, the barrel inscribed US with VP and eagle head proofs, the butt plate stamped 1811, with a walnut stock, 44'' barrel.
Condition
All metal turning brown, evidence of old varnish on butt plate and trigger guard, missing top jaw in screw, missing upper and lower sling bands, stamped AC in front of trigger, 5'' repair from lower barrel band, crack at back of lock.
