Accompanying this lot is an 1816 shipping invoice for the service being transported from Liverpool to Philadelphia on board the Coromandel, captained by William Day. Contents: eight 5 1/4" dia. bowls, eighteen 6 1/2" dia. bowls. twenty-four dessert plates, one large 4 1/4" bowl/cup, two large teapots (one marked Spode 2436 and one marked Spode (hairline on bottom), one creamer, one sugar, seventeen fruit bowls, eighteen small handleless cups, nine bowls, no dinner plates. Some pieces are marked 2436. All pieces are marked Spode. Appears to be a luncheon set because there are no dinner plates. Overall good condition.
