Southern hard pine clothes press, late 18th c., probably Eastern Shore, Virginia, with a raised panel door and sides, retaining an old green/blue surface over Spanish brown, 66'' h., 36 1/4'' w. Provenance: The Collection of Frank and Sue Watkins, Richmond, Virginia.
Scattered blue touch up to flaking. Majority of one rear foot facing replaced. One backboard replaced. Shelves added.
