Southeastern Pennsylvania walnut wainscot armchair, ca. 1725, with a scalloped crest, paneled back, and turned medial stretcher. Provenance: Titus Geesey. Sold by order of the trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.
Loss to groove edge on rear of lower back rail. Feet reduced in height. Seat replaced.
