Soap Hollow, Somerset County, Pennsylvania painted poplar chest of drawers, dated 1864, signed by the maker Jeremiah Stahl, retaining its original stenciled floral and bird decoration on a red ground, with black moldings and paneled sides, 53 3/4" h., 39" w.
Overall good condition with expected wear. Heavier wear/scratches to bottom of right stile.
