Smith and Wesson New model No. 3 Target single action six shot revolver, .38-44 caliber, shipped in 1898, with a fluted cylinder and hard rubber monogrammed grips and factory refinished by Smith and Wesson, accompanied by a factory letter from Smith & Wesson, 6 1/2'' barrel. SN# 3296 star.

Description change - not C&R. Overall excellent condition. Retaining 100% of factory re-blue. Barrel legend is crisp and the S&W monogram on the frame shows evidence of buffing. Bright bore with strong rifling. Cylinder locks up tight and functions correctly. Does not appear to have been reblued. Neither grip is numbered and they appear to be correct replacements. There is strong case coloring on trigger but none on hammer.
