Silver mounted presentation sword, with a single fuller, a double edged blade, a double eagle headed crossguard, an embossed polychrome wasp on shell langet, and a shield and eagle with a ring through its nose pommel. Presentation reads Presented to Lieutenant James Biddle U.S.N. by the legislature of Pennsylvania, Dec. 1812, 30" l. For reference please see The Pictorial Field-Book of the War of 1812 by Benson J.
