Silk on linen sampler, probably Philadelphia, ca. 1818, the central buildings within an elaborate floral vine and Greek key border, an early hand written note verso reads Sampler made about 1818 by Elizabeth McKinley daughter of William McKinley of Philadelphia, she married Adams Vinton Nov 1 1830, 20" x 24".
Toning. Small holes and repairs to lower left corner. Period frame (regilt).
