Newburyport, Massachusetts silk on linen needlework sampler, ca. 1784, wrought by Sarah Currier, with an alphabet over verse, above the inscription Sarah Currier, born November 10th 1775 aged 9 yrs, above a scene with pine trees, birds and lawn, all with a trailing vine border, 17" x 13 1/2". Provenance: The Collection of the Late Ann G Sickles.
Parts: Sarah Currier sampler document. Repair to right side and lower center. Losses to lawn.
