Set of six George III carved mahogany dining chairs, ca. 1765, each with a shell and vine crest, pierced splat and carved cabriole legs, terminating in ball and claw feet. Provenance: The Collection of Jean & Eugene Jacobson, Englewood, New Jersey.
1 - repaired breaks to crest. One knee return replaced. 2 - small repair to crest at splat. 3 - one knee return replaced. 4 - two knee returns replaced. 5 - two knee returns replaced. 6 - repaired break to knee return, two metal braces added to seat frame. Staining and losses to seats.
