Seaver Deringer type percussion pistol, .54 caliber, the barrel flat inscribed Seaver, with nicely scrolled engraved lock, tang and trigger guard, checkered walnut bird head grips, the shield escutcheon inscribed Guy Smith, 5 1/2'' barrel. See The Deringer in America by Wilson & Eberhart, page 114.
