Scrimshaw decorated horn cup dated 1792, inscribed Eaton Tulle his cup Town of Brimfield Massachusetts, 2 3/4" h.
Would appear, in all respects, to have always been only a cup. There is no evidence of a strap button in the wooden end plug. Later addition of two brass tacks to secure horn on either side of age crack from base. Marked "his cup" Several small (pin head sized) insect erosions inside and outside at bottom edge.
