Schuyler, Hartley & Graham U.S. model 1850 Civil War staff and field officer's sword, the blade finely engraved with an eagle and foliage, inscribed Stand by the Union, above crossed flags, with a marker's mark at the ricasso, the guard having pierced floral and foliate decoration, with a shagreen wire wrapped grip, a scabbard, and a sword knot, 30 1/2'' l.
Blade in exceptional condition, surface wear to grip, wiring slightly loose, leather and brass scabbard in good condition.
