Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania red, navy blue, green, and white jacquard coverlet by John Smith, the corner blocks inscribed "John Smith 1836 H. Walder", the bottom border inscribed "J.S. Patent", the border with rooster and swag decoration, and the center with floral and geometric decoration, 102" x 90". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 38 and 39.
Very good/excellent. Very minor fringe loss.
