Scarce large Mystery doll house, ca.1890, with four front sections which open to reveal a two story house, with generous sized rooms and center staircase, features the familiar chamfered moldings associated with these models, carved wood scalloped shingle roof, and front garden plat, retains all original painted floors, this less common form with split gable roofs was purchased from the Lolita Armour El Mirador estate auction in Los Angeles 1976. The present owner started the restoration of this house by removing what was left of the stained and damaged wallpapers, all of which have been saved, along with the original curtains, and the interior moldings, paneled doors, and trims, includes various wood trims (both new and original) and period wallpapers, overall - 46" h., 56" w., 25 1/2" d.

Condition

Worthy of restoration.
