Salem, Massachusetts Federal mahogany chest of drawers, ca. 1815, the bowfront top over 4 long drawers flanked by reeded columns with swag and tobacco leaf capitals, the interior of top drawer stamped "Hart Ware & Co. Manufacturers of Cottage Furn. Baltimore", 37 1/4" h., 41 1/4" w. Hart Ware & Co. which was in business during the mid 19th c., probably stamped the piece when performing a repair.
