S & K U.S. model 1842 sword bayonet, with brass ribbed hilt, yataghan blade stamped S & K on ricasso, reverse side stamped US LP, inspector mark R in a circle on cross guard, end of pommel stamped FL, Schnitzler and Kirschbaum made and imported these for two band .58 caliber rifles, 22 3/4" blade.
As expected wear.
