S & K model 1840 light artillery sword and scabbard, with brass knuckle bow, wire wrapped leather grip, the top flat of blade, the guard and bow are stamped with a crown and D, the drag on the steel scabbard stamped S & K, this was 1 of 500 the US ordered in August of 1840, 31 1/2'' blade.
Overall very good condition. As expected wear.
