Roman alabaster relief bust of a male youth, early 1st c. A.D., 6 1/2" h. Provenance: Discovered in Misrata, Libya in the early 1950s, acquired before 1960 and later purchased in 2012 from Artemission, London. Lot includes relevant paperwork.
Intact. No apparent damages. Provenance: A Pennsylvania estate.All of the ancient art and antiquities in this sale are from the same estate. An ancient art specialist was brought in from New York to assist with authenticating and describing the pieces in the collection.
