Roby presentation staff and field officers sword and scabbard, the throat of the scabbard inscribed Presented to Capt. James L. P. Whipple by Co. H 12th Regt. N. H. V., having a pierced US and scroll hand guard, with wire wrapped shark skin grip, nicely etched US blade with grape vine, eagle with shield and panoply of arms, 32'' blade.
Some wire added to handle, minor dents.
