Richard Lee, Springfield, Vermont brass strainer, early 19th c., stamped Richard.Lee on handle, attributed to Richard Lee Jr. (1775-c. 1858), who worked in Springfield, Vermont, 1795-1815, and Beverly, Massachusetts, 1816-1820, 17 ¼" l. Lee Jr. was the son of Richard Lee Sr. (1747-1823), an itinerant pewterer who worked in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Springfield, Vermont, between 1773 and 1823.
