Red, navy blue, and white jacquard coverlet, mid 19th c., the sides with double rows of buildings, the top and bottom borders with buildings and palm trees, the interior with birds of paradise feeding their young in nests atop foliage, peacocks, potted flowers, grapes, and pineapples, 81" x 73". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 206 and 207.
Overall very good condition. Wear and some rebinding to top and bottom edges. Some fringe loss. Some very small losses to body.
