Red, blue, green, and white jacquard coverlet, mid 19th c., the top edge inscribed "Centennial", the bottom inscribed "Memorial Hall.", the border with foliate decoration, the interior depicts a domed building surmounted by a figure under the sun and 2 flags, flanked by 2 spread winged eagles and surrounded by foliage, 78" x 83". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 216 and 217.
Excellent condition. Minor fringe loss.
