Reading, Pennsylvania walnut flintlock fowler rifle, the barrel impressed J Van Horn Reading, Pennsylvania 1814, barrel length - 57" l.
Approximately .80 caliber. 9 1/2" of wood at the trigger guard have been pieced into the stock as well as a large repair around the upper tang and cock. The butt stock is crudely covered with 5 brass tacks to bottom of butt stock with a brass man in the moon and 5 point star inlaid into cheek piece the hand forged iron lock does not cock.
