Chief Rain-In-The-Face was a Lakota war chief who participated in the Battle of Little Big Horn in 1876, defeating Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer's regiment. Legend has it that he cut out the heart of Thomas Custer and possibly killed George Custer during the battle, photo - 6 1/2" x 4 1/8", frame - 13 1/2" x 9 1/2".
