Rare Philadelphia 3 1/2 pint pewter barrel mug, ca. 1820, bearing the touch of Robert Palethorpe Jr., 6 5/8" h. This is possibly the only known example of this form by Palethorpe. A similar water pitcher by Parks Boyd is illustrated in Montgomery A History of American Pewter, fig 7-5. Provenance: Jack Schneider; Lester Breininger; Greg Kramer.
