Rare New York City tinned sheet iron policeman's parade lantern, early 19th c., the central mica bull's-eye, inscribed 8th Precinct, surrounded by a star with alternating red and blue glass, 15 1/2" h., 10 1/4" w. Back side missing three triangular glass panes. Two panes with 1/2" loss and one pane cracked. Also missing central round pane and round metal ring with small breaks.
