Rare New Jersey Queen Anne walnut tall case clock, ca. 1750, the brass face works, inscribed John Laashe Amwell Township New Jersey Province, 100" h. This clock may be one of only two known and listed in Palmer, The Book of American Clocks", 1926. A label identifies the owner as John F. Schenk.

Condition

Parts: pendulum, weights. Lacking glass in door. Dial repainted. 2" x 3" patch to waist door. Age crack in lower panel. Knot patch on one side. Provenance: The Collection of the Studdiford Family, Point Pleasant, NJ. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
