Rare New England crewelwork on linen bed cover, late 18th c., with a central cartouche and spread winged eagle holding a serpent in its beak, flanked by butterflies, cornucopia, dogs with baskets, sprigs of flowers, all with ornate trailing vine and floral border with applied drawnwork fringe.
Dimensions: 62" x 94". Tears and frays throughout. Small stains.
