Rare Kentucky wool on linen needlework dated 1822 wrought by Mary M. White b. 1803, with central brick farmhouse surrounded by sheep and lawn all within a floral border, 16 1/2" x 20 1/4".

Condition

Accompanying this lot is an early letter stating that Mary stitched this piece while at Science Hall College in Shelbyville and it depicts the Vance farm. 1" x 1" loss to bottom border. A few minor frayed spots to edge.
