Rare German pewter beer stein or Walzenkrug, 18th/19th c., the cylindrical body elaborately engraved with the Arms of Saxony, flanked with foliage, the lid inscribed with the owner's initials and dated 1812, bearing the touch of Christian Heinrich Schick of Burgstadt on the interior, 10 3/4'' h.
Very good condition. No apparent damages or repairs. Provenance: The Collection of Allan Fogel, Silver Spring, Maryland.
