Wm. Smith 1784, and signed by the maker,
Aseph Warner, over a case with fluted quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, 98 1/2'' h. Provenance: This clock was originally purchased by William Smith Jr. in 1784. It descended directly in the Smith family of Windy Bush Hill in Upper Makefield until purchased by the present owner, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Condition
Parts: weights, pendulum, key. Brace added to side of saddleboard support. Thin shim added to opposite support. Patch to side of backboard behind bonnet. Worm damage to backboard, possibly active. Feet replaced. Brief history of clock attached to inside of the door. Currently working. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.
