Rare and desirable Beretta single shot percussion shotgun, 8 gauge, with a checkered walnut stock with large cheek rest on the left side, the lower barrel flat under the half stock is inscribed Fort Fab Piet Beretta a Gardone 1834, the lock is illegibly marked with an ornate wedding band at the junction of the octagonal to round portion of the barrel, having an ebonized ramrod with silver tip, 36" Damascus barrel. Overall very good condition, shows some damascing on the otherwise bright barrel, ramrod thimbles retain some bluing, there are traces of case colors on the lock, hammer, and upper tang, lock is illegibly marked, three 1/2" dents in the right butt stock.
