Potts and Hunt pattern 1853 Enfield percussion rifle, .577 caliber, with British proofed barrel stamped 25, hardwood stock and socket bayonet, 39'' barrel with long range adjustable rear sight. Very good overall condition, bright barrel, lock showing some light pitting, hammer screw is broken off in the tumbler, the last 1/2'' of the upper tang is broken off, stock is marked 31 behind the upper tang as is the trigger guard tang. No stampings under the trigger guard on the bottom of the buttstock.
