Portsmouth, New Hampshire painted leather fire bucket dated 1789, inscribed "No 2", above a scrolled cartouche with the name "G.K. Haswell F.F.S." (Federal Fire Society) enclosing the date, the reverse with vibrant yellow, black, and red stripes, 11 3/4" h.
