Philip Boss (American, mid 19th c.), pair of oil on canvas portraits of a man and woman, the gentleman inscribed verso Wm Penn Sheldon aged 19 yr July 25, 1847 P. Boss artist, 28" x 22".
Both - contemporary frames. Gentleman - light craquelure, varnished. Lady - varnished, small abrasion in background and sleeve.
