Philadelphia sackback Windsor armchair, ca. 1780, with scrolled arms and baluster turned legs joined by bulbous stretchers, retaining its original red stained surface. For a similar example, see Santore Windsors in America, plate 76.
Dimensions: 37" h. (full height), 17 1/4" h. (seat), 26 3/4" w. (arm to arm). Repaired break to crest. Overall very good condition.
