Philadelphia Queen Anne tiger maple dressing table, ca. 1750, possibly the cabineet shop of William Savery, the rectangular top with notched corners, overhanging a case with 1 long drawer over 3 short drawers flanked by chamfered and fluted columns, above a "fish tail" skirt supported by lappet carved cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet, 29 1/4" h., 30" w.(case) Provenance: By family tradition descended in the family of Dr. James Anderson (Rosemont-Villanova 1782-1858) who purchased the piece from the estate sale of Charles Thompson, secretary to the Continental Congress.

Flaking. Early 19th c. relining. Edges trimmed.
