Philadelphia Queen Anne walnut compass seat dining chair, ca. 1750, with a shell and volute carved splat and cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet. Provenance: A direct descendant of Joseph Priestley of Northumberland, Pennsylvania.

Condition

Repaired break to crest. One volute replaced. 1/2" strip replaced just below shell. Slip seat replaced. Hole in top of foot where caster came through.
