Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Chippendale mahogany dressing table, ca. 1770, the molded edge top with notched corners, over a case with one long drawer, over 3 short drawers, the center with shell carving and spandrels, over a scalloped skirt with central shell drop supported by cabriole legs with shell carved knees ending in ball and claw feet, 28 1/2" h., 31" w., 18 1/2" d. Top original. Brasses replaced. One knee return restored. One return molding under top replaced. Age cracks to sides of case. Drawer lip repair. 2" x 1" patch to large drawer. A few minor patches to shell on drawer. Early refinish. Estimate should read: $20,000 - $30,000.
