Philadelphia maple ladderback armchair, ca. 1760, with a bold bulbous turned front stretcher, five graduated arched splats and flat serpentine arms with turned supports ending in suppressed ball feet, retaining an old mellow surface and old if not original rush seat. Provenance: Philip H. Bradley Co., pictured in the Magazine Antiques, February 2000.
Some minor wear to seat, overall very good condition.
