Philadelphia high relief wax profile portrait of a young girl seated on a chair, 19th c., inscribed verso Leah Woolman's, Likeness Taken May 1819, in a shadowbox gilt frame with a faux wallpaper background and reverse painted glass, 5 1/4" x 4 1/4". Provenance: Josephine Dawes, Hightstown, New Jersey.
Period frame in overall good condition. Very minor surface discoloration, minor hairline around neck and minor losses to dress ruffle around neck.
