Philadelphia Federal mahogany work stand, ca. 1820, with a writing slide over two drawers flanked by carved columns, above a turned and carved standard, supported by scrolled legs and paw feet, 31" h., 20" w. An almost identical table is illustrated in American Furniture in the Bybee Collection, p. 104.
Pulls replaced, one mismatched. Top is sun faded. Split to width of top. One scroll missing one circular turning.
