Philadelphia Federal mahogany dining chair, ca. 1815, attributed to Thomas Whitecar, together with another carved Philadelphia dining chair with a square back and compass seat. The first chair is illustrated in Boor, Philadelphia Empire Furniture, fig. 160.
Ladderback - seat frame with added supports, repaired break to stiles at seat. Other - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs.
