Philadelphia Chippendale carved mahogany side chair, ca. 1765, with a fully carved crest rail, splat, and blind fretwork carved straight legs. An identical chair, possibly from the same set, sold at Northeast Auctions, 2011, lot 1218.
Repaired breaks to crest, splat and shoe. Not examined without upholstery. Repaired break at through tenon. Large brace added to base of splat.
