Philadelphia bowback windsor armchair, ca. 1795, attributed to John Letchworth, the 6-spindle back flanking an unusual vase form splat over a shield form seat resting on bamboo legs joined by stretchers, retaining original Spanish brown finish. The only other known example is illustrated in Horners Blue Book of Philadelphia Furniture, plate 476.
