Excellent Phalibois trio of performing composition clowns musical automaton, under a glass dome, with clowns dressed in fanciful outfits, one with a sword, bottle and dish, performing a balancing act, one twirling a chair on his nose, the third clown with a bass drum and cymbals, with a small poodle and monkey on a ladder in the background, all with a mirrored background, 26" h., 24" w. Provenance: Bertoia Auction, October 1995, lot 964, Ron Rhoads Auction, March 2010, lot 360.
Excellent condition, currently working, glass repair to side of dome.
