Percussion fowler, .69 caliber, constructed from period and non-period elements, 41 1/4'' barrel. Provenance: Estate of George Albicker, Utica, NY.
The 1839 dated Springfield barrel is pitted at bolster & the stock is broken at the wrist & repaired with a wire wrap. The percussion lock is marked "LANE & REAL" over "BOSTON" & does not release the hammer.
