Pennsylvania William & Mary walnut gateleg dining table, ca. 1735, with two demilune leaves over a frame with two drawers supported by turned legs, open - 8 1/4" h., 49" w., 38 1/4" d.
Condition
Center top section was broken and (from underneath) shows three replacement pieces of wood. Both leaves broken and reglued with the top of the curve being restored with other wood (approx. 2" each in depth). Old screw holes (25) where old hinge resets and support patches at seam repairs on one leaf underside and holes (16) on other leaf. Patch 3 1/2" x 1" to one leaf in center of straight edge. All legs drilled for casters. Both drawers have three old pull holes filled and old correct replacement pulls installed. Wear to bottom end stretchers on underside.
